Anasazi Trail

Grandma had heard about an easy 1 mile hike that led to some indian writings on the wall. We decided to try it out on a very hot day! We walked and walked and walked and walked...like little pioneer children! However, the kids were a little mad at us so we couldn't even get them to sing as they walked! After about two hours of walking, we finally saw one rock with indian writings! It was pretty neat, but not the great wall we were looking for. We stopped and took a break, tried our best to not drink all the water and save some for the walk down. We found a shortcut down and Derek and Gpa took the long way to pick up the cars and come get us! They were our heros for the day! Thank goodness for Gma's umbrellas, lots of water, Gpa's and Derek's shoulders, stories of distraction and Hals and Jax bravely leading the way! It was hard while there but we did it and have memories to look back on now! These pictures make us look barely alive...Brock and Isabella LOL

Here is Bella posing by the rock with the indian writings on it

Here are our tired faces (although some are still happy) in the car after that really long, hot walk!! Good times!! LOL

Dixie Mountain

Back down to St. George...woops! I forgot some of the really great hikes we went on! This is Dixie Mountain and Pioneer Park that overlooks the city of St. George. Gma took a picture of us on top from down below! It's a great view of the city and the Dixie Temple! There was even a wedding going on on top while we were up there!

Updo's, Make-up and Nails!!!

For Emma's birthday party, we headed back up to SLC and took the 4 girls to a salon for up-do's, make-up and nails! The girls loved every minute of it!! We adults got pedicures while the girls got pampered! LITTLE DIVAS!!!

Tuachan

St. George has a great outdoor theatre called Tuachan which means Garden of the Gods. They have broadway plays there and this year was Annie and Footloose, with HSM 2 at the little indoor theatre. The kids(my 2 girls and cousins Gentry and Haleigh) LOVED Annie, it was more fun watching them react to the play then even watching it myself, front row too!! The adults got to put on those cute green vests and volunteer for our seats...Derek, although looks happy, did not enjoy getting yelled at by those little old ladies! Then Gma and Gpa stayed with the kids(mua!) while Derek, Haleigh and I went to see the other 2 plays. SYTYCD was filming Footloose and we found out one of the dancers made the SLC auditions on the 24th of July and they followed her down there! Can't wait to see her on the show! She was a great dancer! (thanks for all the pics Hals)
