One of our favorite things to do when visiting Utah is the mountains! It was a beautiful night and other than the moose and Brock getting his boy clothes wet and having to wear pink clothes...it was a great night!
Grace did not want to go to the same place we hiked last year because Jaxson got chased by a momma moose, so we went to Donut Falls telling her she would be fine and there were no moose there. Well first person we see tells us to be careful because there are 2 moose on the trail, after convincing Grace we were safe we started our hike. It was so pretty!! We even hiked across the log over the river but too many little ones and not enough hands(or good shoes) to make it all the way up to the donut where the falls come out! There are lots of pictures, it was so fun and pretty!! Wish Derek could have been there to enjoy it all with us but he spent the week in Wyoming, hiking with the Bel Aire scouts!
Could there be any words that could describe this any better?
On our way up the mountain, the Moose were over on the side but on our way back, they were gone so we kept going and just as Christian, Jaxson and Brock turned the corner they were right there in their face just off the trail...they took off running back up the hill and scared everyone and we all ran too...once we calmed down we went back down the trail and Jibby and I got brave and wanted to take pictures so we went right past them on the trail, everyone else took the crying, scared kids all the way around the little meadow area and met us further down the trail! It was an unforgettable hike!
We finished with a delicious chocolate cake jibby made and lots of great memories!
